Does anyone know any good tattoo shops in Long Island, New York. I am getting my first tattoo and I just want some feedback on what places are good, and what some people’s recommendations are.

picking a good tattoo shop is very important, when i was getting mine i went to the shops and asked questions and watched as others got theirs.
get to know the people that do the work and learn from people in the area (ie are they happy with it, is it what they had in mind etc)
a good artist will take the time to work with you and help you make the right choices, the ones that dont are not worth your time.
im not in the NY area so i dont know of any .
i have 3 tats, the first one i got was 20 years ago and it still looks new
and remember, a good tat isnt cheap
