The Tattooed Girl Oates

Joyce Carol Oates poll…?
What is your favorite Joyce Carol Oates book and why? I’m a huge fan of Oates and admire her dialogue on the female experience. I’ve been recently captivated by her novels, especially those written from 2000-present.
I’m voting for “the tattooed girl.” This novel paints such an interesting portrait of hatred, and how hatred can evolve into love. I enjoyed how the female characters are presented through bestial/dog-like allusions.
As a runner up I would choose “Beasts.”

I haven’t read many books by Joyce Carol
Oates so far, but I’d have to say that I love
We were the Mulvaneys. It’s definitely
unique & interesting!
