Tattoo Tips Pain
What are some pain tolerance tips for getting your first tattoo?
My sixteenth birthday is coming in a month and I’m finally granted permission to get a tattoo.
I’ve decided to get a Celtic trinity knot as it symbolizes everything important to me.

Anyway, I have a very low pain tolerance. I mean, I don’t cry from cuts or getting slapped, but if my hair gets pulled or if I get kicked in the shin I’ll start crying. -_-
I’m planning on getting the tattoo on my hip, by my lower back, as it’s the only place I actually have more than plain flesh and bone on my body that I can cover up easily (for career purposes).
I just want to know how tattoo fanatics deal with the pain so when the time comes I’m not freaking out. I was planning on just meditating, listening to my iPod, and reading a book, but is there anything else I can do?
Also, are there any precautions I should take beforehand? I want to be completely prepared for this.
