Tattoo Sleeve Designs Ideas
How exactly do you come up with ideas for a tattoo sleeve?
I’ve been wanting to get a half-sleeve on my left arm for some time now and would like to save up this summer so I can start having it done. My main problem, though, is that I cannot pick out any designs as I am not sure how the whole process works. Like, I know how I want it themed and everything, just I wouldn’t know how to make everything fit together. Basically I’d like to know where I should start.
You’re not having a problem dude. This is normal. You’ve decided on a theme, thats a huge start. Don’t worry about the final design. If you cant design it yourself. Please do NOT grab something off the net. Youre going to have this forever, you dont want something that isnt unique. First thing you want to do is find an artist – look around on-line, talk to friends, ask people with similar style tattoos that you really like. Then just go talk to the artist. Tell him/her what style sleeve you’re looking for – they’ll ask a lot of questions – you’ll tell them what you want and don’t want in the design. But this is what they’re really good at. After your meeting, they will come up with some designs, you’ll be able to make changes – you’ll probablly be able to get a better idea of where you want to go with the design after you see their 1st draft. But really – you can get an amazing piece if you find a great artist and just let them go at it.
I was stuck with my back – I messed around with a designs for months- a few friends tried to help. But it didnt get anywhere. When I got with a real artist it was incredible – she didn’t just get the design, but knew exactly what would fit, how to work with contours, sorted outed out detail and size of the design – its really best way to do this.
