17 year old emancipation?

I am 17 and I live in Virginia.
I had a job, before my dad made me quit, and I could go right back to it.
I am just wondering if it is likely that I can get emancipated. I don’t know anyone who has gone through the process, but I heard it is very unlikely that I will actually get emancipated.

My parents do not abuse me, I just want to get on with my life. My dad wont let me get a job and I really hate school. Yes I know the repercussions of not finishing high school, but I want to do a lot of jobs. I want to be a tattoo artist and do a lot of volunteer work. Like be a volunteer fire fighter and work at an animal shelter, but my dad wont let me do any of these things. I am comfortable not being rich, with urks my dad.

No, you cannot get emancipated. You would have to have a job before you apply for the emancipation. Also, you say you hate school, which shows me that you probably make bad grades. You must have good grades and show you will continue school. You cannot drop out of school. The job you have must be able to support the average rent cost, healthcare, food, transportation and any necessary mean to be financially stable on your own. Also, you must get both your parents to sign off on the emancipation and show reason to need an emancipation. Not getting to do what you want is not reason enough. You would be denied.
