In Texas, if a minor gets a tattoo, what does the school district do for punishment?

I mean it’s permanent, why punish something like that that can’t be undone? And I’ve heard tales of kids going to alternative school for a while. But there’s so many kids at my school with tattoos that don’t get in trouble and they FLAUNT their tattoos.

According to the site, in Texas anyone under 18 must be accompanied by parent or guardian, who has to sign something granting permission at the time the minor gets the tat or piercing.

School districts can make up any rules they like as long as they conform to state law. Most of the sites I visited on Bing after searching “texas school district rules minors with tattoos” stated that “visible” tattoos were forbidden and had to be covered by clothing, but even with such a rule in place, it is up to the employees of the district to enforce it. Just because they are normally lax doesn’t mean they can’t single someone out and enforce the rules.
