Tattoo Schools in Ohio
Can teachers have tattoos?
I am a second year student in college. My major is secondary education with a concentration in art. I live in Michigan close to the Ohio border. I am still unsure if I will be teaching in Ohio or Michigan, it really depends on how the job openings come when I’m done with schooling.
Up until now tattoos have not been much of a concern because my father will not let anyone in the house have them, but now I’m moving out and wish to have a few that I feel symbolize important things in my life.
I’m having a hard time finding a standard dress code for teachers in the area, is it alright for a high school art teacher to have a/multiple tattoos in either Michigan or Ohio? If not is there any state that will allow it?

I am friends with alot of teachers and many of them have tattoos. They don’t have them on their necks or running down their arms. I do think that would be inappropriate.
If you get a tattoo on your shoulder or back I don’t think the school will care or even know…
