tattoo schools in michigan
What should I get tattooed to represent the state of Michigan?

I grew up in the great lakes state. I’m currently going to school here. I love this state for it’s water, for it’s forests, and for its small town culture. I love the folk music and festival culture as well. I’m looking to get a tattoo to commemorate all these things, but not my school logo. Thanks in advance!

The Michigan state flag has a picture of a mouse, an elk, and a sunset (among other things, but those are the prettiest). You can do any of those things. The state motto, written on the flag is ‘Si quaeris peninsulam amoenam, circumspice’, which is latin for ‘If you seek a pleasant peninsula, look about you’. It also says ‘e pluribus unum’ which is latin for ‘alone from many’, or something like that I think. I think this because I used an online translator that gave me a million definitions of each word and using my deducing skills this combination made the most sense.
I also saw a Michigan license plate with a lighthouse on it and that is a very nice symbol.
and you could always go with the shape of the state or of the lakes.
What I would go with personally is a picture of Michigan’s state flower, the beautiful apple blossom. or the state bird, the lovely robin.
