When you are thinking about Chinese Tattoo Designs, chances are, you are thinking about getting Chinese characters tattooed on yourself. Finding the perfect design is difficult, and many people, when they want to convey a simple concept, will think of the beautifully drawn characters that make up Chinese writing.
While Chinese tattoo designs made up out of characters are quite popular and can be quite beautiful, there are a couple of things that you can keep in mind while you are getting them.

Remember that you cannot get Chinese tattoo designs of your name by typing your name into a generator. Unlike English, Chinese does not have an alphabet. This can result in something that can be roughly pronounced as your name, but it is also likely to result with something that is simply gibberish.
You’ll find that your best bet is always to speak to someone who knows the language. Similarly, remember that Chinese characters, just like Roman script, will come in different fonts. Make sure you get a font that will show off the letter clearly.
When you are looking into Chinese tattoo designs, remember that they do not have to be simple characters. You can get art to go along with it, and many people have had a great deal of luck imitating the style of ancient Chinese along the side of the characters, and their tattoos often end up looking like scrolls or old books, which is a lovely effect.
Remember that you should always work with a tattoo artist who has a good record of working with Chinese characters and who understands why placement is so very important; remember that a single altered stroke can change the meaning of the word completely!
Take some time to think about your tattoo, especially if you want to incorporate a foreign element like Chinese characters into it; there is a lot of things that you need to keep in mind, and a tattoo is worth taking the time to think out.
