Tattoo Popular Culture

Is this a subculture?
Im unsure how to ask this question but I notice a lot of motorcycle builders on the west coast are into a lot of “darker” things. Skulls, ghosts, Spider tattoos Herse styled hot rods etc…creepy things. I guess one popular person who I can think of who kinda fits this is Rob Zombie. The guy isn’t exactly gothic because hes not wearing eye liner and reading poetry. Is this a genre of the “gothic” sub culture or something completely different?
Thanks for the explanation crim. It really didnt answer my question tho.
yes i would say it is a sub culture and could be spreading naton wide!!!
