Tattoo Peeling Losing Color
5 day old tattoo, HELP PLEASE!?

I am STILL freaking out about my tattoo. I am so scared it is ruined. It’s peeling and some parts are raised and scabby kinda. It’s lost some color so I will be going back and getting a few minor details touched up more then likely.
Just tell me if this looks normal or if my tattoo won’t look good when it is healed. Terrible lighting.

I don’t want to hear from you if you think tattoos are gross etc. And yes I have been putting unscented lotion on it. I think before I was putting to much on and now that I have cut back on how much, it looks like it is healing better.
It looks fine to me – so much depends on where you have it, your skin type etc. It is always a bit freaky when bits and pieces of coloured flaky stuff are coming off your tattoo, but trust me, it is normal – and it happens to everyone. It varies from person to person how long it continues, and with my last one it took a little over 2 weeks to settle down completely – but it now looks really awesome. Dont stress, all will be fine – but if you are still not happy in a couple of weeks, go back to where you got it done, and have a chat with them. You will find most tattooists are happy to help out whenever they can to make you feel at ease. Hope it all settles down for you.
