Tattoo Needles Info

how can i tell if the tattoo needle used on me was in too deep in my skin or was it something else?
i got a dime sized heart tattoo a week ago on my fore arm in brown. all the ink scabbed off and i now have the heart indent in my skin with some burn like puffiness around it. i called my dr and he said to keep neosporin on it and see him in a couple weeks. i want to go with as much info as possible before i go back to the shop it was done at to show the person that did it.
was told to use the neosporin to avoid infections. theres no color to protect on it since it all scabbed off on the third day after i got it. it looks like i got branded.

Could you upload a photo of what you’re talking about?
It’s very difficult to know without actually seeing it.
Do you mean that ALL the ink has come out, and you’re just left with a scar in the shape of the tattoo? If the ink has come out, it would either be that your artist hasn’t gone in deep enough and the ink hasn’t been injected all the way into the dermis, or that you have experienced a reaction to the ink used and your body has rejected it entirely (in which case, it may be nothing to do with your artist). If you visited a clean, professional and experienced artist, I would imagine it would be a case of the latter.
