Will a tattoo on my Forearm effect me being a cop?
I’m getting a tattoo on my forearm, a small 5 letter name in cursive font. Will this stop me from being a police officer in california? And also, when I was in 2nd grade I touched a girls boob as a dare for a slice of pizza =/. So I have a sexual harassment case on my record, Will that effect me even though I was about 8. Please don’t say anything negative about the boob grab because It’s not a joke. I’m asking a serious question. I’m also interested in being a FireFighter. Will the harassment thing ruin that plan also? How does that Work. Both jobs will be based on California Laws. Please don’t tell me about laws in other states.
I agree with spag, sealed or expunged records don’t matter to police. We can get a hold of them and failure to reveal that information can get you disqualified.
The harassment charge, not a big deal, it shouldn’t effect you either way. Heck, they might not even ask about it.
Tattoo, you could be an officer here. Some departments would require you to wear a long sleeved shirt year round. But it’s not a deal breaker.
