There are absolutely no statistics like this. tattoo ink does not give you ink poisoning, either.
Also, you would need to know the infection rate in professional tattoos vs non professional tattoos – it would not be appropriate to lump this all together. Again, no data is available on this.
If you are concerned…check out the studio you are interested in and be sure it is licensed and check with the department of health to see if any complaints have been filed against them.
