kinda serious, we had to put our cat to sleep?
Me and my husband had to put our cat to sleep March 25th of this year, It was a very devastating experience, It still gets to us to this day that we could have done something to save her, She had an URI upper respiratory infection, She was 10 years old..almost 11. she was not eating for over a week, We even tried the stinkiest food we could find so then maybe she could smell it, We took her to the vets 2 times and spent 600 dollars to try to get her better, We just kinda feel like we failed her. Like we made a mistake and should have had more tests ran.. I dunno, its just been bothering me a little bit since yesterday, I just can’t get rid of the thought of her body going limp..Will I ever be able to let go of it? Please be kind, our cat was a part of our family. I even got a tattoo to remember her, I will show a picture. any input would be so appreciated

I lost an orphaned kitten I was nursing earlier this spring… I took her to the vet, but they couldn’t save her… I could never stop wondering if I had just gotten her there a few days before, if it would have made a difference…
The bottom line is, she had 10 wonderful years with you, and you did the best you could. At least she didn’t have to suffer indefinitely, just think how awful it would have been if she had an owner that didn’t care and just let her stay sick until she finally died on her own. You did your best, you loved her, and she’ll always be with you. Don’t break your heart wondering what could have been.
