i’m trying to convince my parents to let me get a tattoo… help!?

so i’ve always wanted a tattoo, pretty much all my life. i’m 16 now and as long as i can remember i’ve wanted one. my idea right now is: on my wrist, tracing my veins, and having them colored either blue, red, or outlined in black and having the quote “some girls were just born with glitter in their veins”. also having like “glitter”. i know you cant have glitter in a tattoo but you know how something sparkles when it hits the light? haha i cant describe it. but my question is how can i convince my parents to let me get one! i really want one and they’re pretty cool about stuff but sometimes strict. and am i able to find a free place online where i’m able to design this? or is there someone i could contact to design it for me for free? thank!

i’m on the same boat. i’m turning 18 in a few weeks so now I actually have to worry about getting the money together. I didn’t even bother asking my parents for a tattoo when I was 16 because they freaked out about piercings. I had to pierce my own nose and cartilage (bad, bad idea-) and then they got over it.
are your grades good and are you usually well-behaved? If so you can try to set up an agreement where you promise to do something (honor roll, earlier curfew, etc.) in order to get a tattoo. I did that for my piercings, and it would have worked if i wasn’t being a dumb party animal… anyway, just go out your way to show that you are responsible, and not one of those dumb teenagers who tattoo the playboy bunny all over their ass as soon as they’re 18.
