Tattoo Career Info
Being a tattoo Artist-Career? Anyone?
SO what if someone wants to change there career to an tattoo artist?
You need to apprenticship right? What if you dont know anyone in the industry, should you just go to any tattoo place?
And I’m into art and i can draw well, but i’m not amazing. Do you have to be amazing? A lot of people trace the tattoo on the skin, not draw it from scratch. Of course you have to be able to draw…but how well?
and how hard is it to become one and get a job? I’m assuming you should practice drawing before going to look for an apprenticship but i cant find much info on the web about this career
Eh, you can walk into a shop and ask for a job. They might not want to hire you becasue you have zero experience. You should probably be on a “GOOD” level of art skill. Most of the people draw the tattoo, then put a stencil on the skin….. Im pretty sure all of them are hand made even copied ones. You probably need a license (may be just the shop owner) yaddayadda and im pretty sure they dont get paid well at all.
