k so i got my tattoo yesterday ( saturday ) and it was on my shoudler blade , i have a very boney back so my back didnt even bleed much at all, also , there wasnt much outline done , it was a portrait so like it was alot of shading , the dimensions are 5′x4′ , i went and played hockey tonight , i put gose over it and some tape and under armor on , we were only screwing around so i didnt wear shoulder pads , it was mostly covered up, i didnt get home til a hour later , when i showered right away and put my goats milk moisturizer on it, is there a chance it could get infected ? my friend who got his in the same place and he played hockey 3 hours after his was done! and didnt even cover it , also he went to the beach, and his didnt get infected , so yeah, what are my chances ? ( p.s it does feel bad/sting when i shower or put moisturizer on it
btw , i didnt cut off al air to it , i didnt tape the whole thing shut , i let some air get at it
Don’t tape up your tatt! You are only supposed to keep it covered for the first hour after you get it. It is normal for it to sting or feel slightly uncomfortable the first couple days after you get it, and once it starts to heal a little more, it will start to itch. I have never heard of a tattoo getting infected, and your chances are slim. Oh, and don’t go into any pools or chlorine until it is totally healed!
