TATTOOS vs. PIERCINGS?

I need help finding some statistics for my english ISU.
If you know this information (and please cite it) please tell me :)

Which has a higher tendency for an infection: a tattoo or piercing? (a statistic would be nice)

What impact do piercings have on job availability?

What impact do tattoos have on job availability?

Are there any long term effects of piercings (such as migration, rejection)?

I wasn’t really able to find much information in regards to citations. However, maybe I can point you in the right direction. In my personal opinion piercings have a higher tendancy to get infected. Reason being, after about a day a tattoo creates a scabby surface to protect you. Whereas, piercings take a long freaking time to even start healing. Also, Piercings penetrate deeper into your tissue, rather than just the first couple layers of skin.

As for piercings and tattoos having an effect on job availability, I guess that all depends on the tattoo or piercing. Most employers won’t allow you to have visible piercings in the workplace (lip, eyebrow, nose, etc.) As far as tattoos go, if you can cover them, nobody will ever need to know you have them. Some employers don’t allow visible tattoos in the workplace either.

Um, as for long term effects, yes, migration and rejection. But also, every piercing you get will leave a scar to some degree. Hope this helps you into the right direction. :)
