Tattoo Age Laws in California
I’m 17 and having tattooing issues, help?
So, It was my 17th birthday yesterday, and I finally got permission to get my first tattoo. I have it picked out, and I know it is something I won’t regret getting. But I have found out that anyone under the age of 18 is prohibited from getting inked, and I was wondering if this was in all states, Or is it just mine? The three states that I would really like to know about tattoo laws for is Vermont, New York and California, if anyone knows about any of those. Also, i live near Canada, is it legal with consent to get one there when you are 17?
its 18. even in states with consent laws, a lot of people wont tattoo people under the age of 18, because anyone with the word teen attached to their age is considerably more likely to make a stupid rash decision and get a tattoo they will end up regretting
be patient, you have a year to go. its not that long
im not saying dont get tattooed, im saying wait until you can do it without having to worry about parents or anyone else
