tattoo inside of dog’s ear?
We adopted a German Shepherd and on the inside of his ear is a green tattoo. The shelter assumed it was put there by his breeder. I think the tattoo says GFO61.(The last digit is hard to make out but I think that’s what it is.)I was wondering if we would be able to find his breeder using those numbers and letters, as the people he was confiscated from either would not give the shelter the papers or didn’t have them. It isn’t a big deal if we can’t find the breeder, but I thought it would be nice to know who they are and see who his parents are.
I would be concerned about the dogs behavior more than anything. The shelter may be able to provide you with more information about the dogs history and behavior. Call them.
