How can I convince my parents to let me keep seeing him?

I am 17-(18 next month), and my boyfriend is 21. But, he said that he will wait until I am 18 before we have sex because “he respects me too much too have sex with me now”, and I thought that was really sweet, but my parents didn’t really think so and it made them really mad. They don’t like his background-(drugs… but he’s clean now), or his tattoos-(playboy bunny on back and revolver on shoulder), or his family-(brother in jail, sister a stripper) and they said I am forbidden from seeing him, and they want me to date a guy from school, and they also want to sign me up to a Youth Group at church to meet boys. I DON’T WANT THOSE LOSER NERDS!
And, I don’t like teen guys, so what do I do and how can I convince to let my parents to let me keep seeing him?

let me just tell you this…21 year old guys are NO MORE mature than teenagers….i have a 36 year old boyfriend who is no different from my H.S. boyfs
