red tattoo ink allergy

HELP WITH BUMPS ON TATTOO?

i got my first tattoo on august 1 2009 of an american flag in a star. I used aquaphor for two weeks and then the artist told me to switch to curel. i did for and after a week it started to scab and feel raised. I called back and he said i could go back to aquaphor for another 2 weeks. i stayed with curel. In the past day the red in the parts of the flag have bumps. it looks like under the color so the bumps are red. they itch a bit but not bad. could i be over applying curel or red ink allergy. i have very sensitive skin and i never read that red could cause issues until after the fact. if its red allergy will it be something i have to deal with for the rest of my life. help

Stop using products and let it dry heal. The tattoo needs air. The bumps are a reaction to not enough air.
