Pick Up Artist Tattoo
Can I cover my black tattoo with a larger pink tattoo?
I can’t post pictures of my original tattoo but it’s a memorial for a friend of mine who got killed. It’s a “life-sized” guitar pick with a heart in the center, shaded around the heart. In the heart are his initials “EJS” and on the sides of the pick are black/grey shaded wings about 2″ in length. Above are the words “In Loving” and below it says “Memory” The text used is typical of a memorial tattoo… kind of “gangsta cursive”… if I may use the expression.
What I want for a cover-up is a pink peony… Any tattoo artists have any insight as to how well this may cover the existing tattoo? I didn’t take very good care of it (used cheap lotion) and it scabbed badly in the beginning. It’s now faded to a ashy gray color.
Your help would be appreciated. Please don’t answer this if you’re not an artist or don’t really know what you’re talking about.

I’d go talk to a tattoo artist near you and just see what they can do. Sometimes artists can come up with ideas you just don’t think of…
