how long before I can go swimming chlorine with my new tattoo?
it is still itchy and I am still putting cream on only about once a day, all the flaking is gone, so how long before I can go swimming? it is small and a week old
When it’s fully healed.
If it’s still itchy it’s probably not done yet – normally tattoos take about two weeks to heal, and if it’s small or depending on where it is, it may be a little less. But if it’s still itchy, swimming will exacerbate it. I’d give it at least a few more days to be sure.
Also, when you do start going swimming and stuff, PUT SUNSCREEN ON IT! Use a high SPF and something that’s sweat & waterproof. The easiest way to ruin a nice tattoo is to forget to protect it from the sun!
