How to treat my 2-week old tattoo when I am in beach- vacation in Brasil?
Hello,
I will be in Brasil in a couple of days and I have a new back – tattoo.
It wasnt that well timed, so I really have to take care of it.
A couple of questions:
1. Is it a problem after 2 weeks to sweat? (Should be hot there)
2. Is it okay to go into the salt sea, if not to long? (or is the water already harming?)
3. Is it enough to wear strong sun protection and a t-shirt, and to lay on my back on the beach to avoid the damn evil sun
?
How can I combine a nice holiday without damaging my tattoo?
Thank you
As long as your skin is no longer broken or scabbed, you should be fine going in the salt water. You should keep a few bottles of fresh water at hand to rinse the salt off of it after each swim (it can dry skin out), and use a high spf sunblock (I like the kind that looks like a large tube of chapstick, usually used for faces) and reapply it everytime you get out of the water. Also wearing clothing over it will help keep it safe, but don’t forget to wear sunblock even if you are clothed.
