Lettering Tattoos on Ribs

rib lettering tattoo size?
How small can a lettering tattoo on the ribs be without having it be almost unreadable after maybe 30 or 40 years? So far I want a sentence that could fit from left to right that’s maybe about 3.5 inches at most, it’ll say luceat lux vestra ex omni pectore, so the letters are kind of close together. Should I split it up into two lines? Thanks!
I would strongly suggest that you go bigger… Most people seem to regret smaller tattoos. Don’t sweat the pain, it will pass… The tattoo, especially since it’s lettering, will be much more interesting if you go larger. For the sake of argument, don’t go smaller than an inch tall per letter, especially if it’s detailed font. Yes, you can go two lines and it will still look good.

Good luck!
