I want to cover up an exisiting tattoo?
I have a tattoo of a phoenix i got when i was very young. it was home done not exactly perfect… far from it… its about as big as a 8×11 pagee. all done in black ink. Would a cover up fully work? And also anyone have any suggestions for asian style/japanese art tattoo artists that very skilled in cover ups in Los Angeles area?
A cover up should work. Depends on how talented the artist is. Possibly, depending on if your is just line work or filled in completely, you could probably have the artist just re-work the pheonix and turn it into a piece that you will love. there are a lot of artists out there these days that are miracle workers. I would say research some shops and see if there’s anyone in your area that works specifically with cover ups. i’m sure you can find someone, LA is known for having some amazing artists.
