are 500mb per month enough for htc tatto? 10 points for best answer?
ok so i want to make a subscription with Telenor (norway), they will let me use the internet on my mobile (500 mb) per month for 99kr, but i dont know if 500mb are enough, i check my facebook and use google maps on my htc tattoo, is that enough?
Whether 500 Mbs are enough depends on your usage needs, regardless of what smartphone it is.
First of all, why would you want to make a subscription with Telenor? They’re expensive and their customer service is ridiculous. I’d rather go for OneCall, Ludo, Chess or Tele2, depending on your phonecall/SMS needs. Perhaps you have a particular reason to choose Telenor, I dont’ know.

A couple of things to know, unless you don’t already. The Tattoo of course has wi-fi that means any free wireless internet connection = free internet. Wi-fi also means it’s closer to 20 Mbits as opposed to 7.2 Mbits (Turbo-3G/HSDPA). The wi-fi should be your main source of mobile internet use. When you’re in a cafe, at someone’s house, in school or at work, odds are you can utilise wi-fi. The city centre of Trondheim has free outside wi-fi, I don’t know how far the other cities have come.
When you’re NOT in a wi-fi zone, Telenor has a maximum rate of 10 kr per day no matter what subscription you have. Meaning that if you are using more than 10 kr a day for more than ten days of the month, you’d be better off with MobilSurf.
Many people overestimate how much they use 3G compared with wi-fi, but as I said, I’m not familiar with your pattern of use. If I had to guess, I’d say that 500 Mbs is enough for intermediate use, like reading newspapers, using Google Maps, Twitter and Facebook. Probably suits you just fine.
Tip: Opera Mini is a free web browser for mobiles that’s pretty fast, easy and looks good. You can choose what quality images will load in (images and video is 99% of internet traffic, text is 1%), change skins etc.
