hitchhiker’S Guide Tattoo

Is the old Infocom software of Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy on 5.25″ floppy worth anything?
I have the old Infocom software written by Douglas Adams of Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy, and another game he made called Bureaucracy. I’m curious if I should even bother trying to sell them. I LOVE the HHGTTG and the only reason I’m holding on to them is because of my obsession with the books (I even have a tattoo of the lil green guy!) But honestly they’re taking up space in my closet, because I haven’t even SEEN a computer that will read 5.25″ floppy disks in YEARS. I figure it’s only fair that I do something with them because I’ve made my husband get rid of a bunch of stuff he hasn’t used. ![]()
Wow…I wish mine was as complete as the one in that Ebay auction…unfortunately the button and a few other pieces are missing…although the destruction orders in English and Vogon are still there!
well the best thing to do is transfer the data to a 3.5 floppy disk.. there are still a few pp with 5.5 disks knocking about.. ten from the 3.5 floppy transfer them to a cd rom…
One of the problems is the 5.5 floppy disk can tend to lose the magnetic data over a period of time… of around 5yrs
