Getting Tattoos While Sick
Getting along with daughter in law?
My son is getting married to a girl who seems to want to control his life. She wants him to speak to him when making decisions but while he was in Iraq, she got a tattoo without his consent when she knew he did not approve this. She lives in Texas and doesn’t want to really live in Arizona….and to get her to make a decision on a wedding date is like pulling a sore tooth…When he was in Iraq she rarely contacted us claiming she wasn’t handling his deployment very well and it was hurting to speak to us. Then when he bought her 2.5K ring, I told her that I hope she loves him as much as he loves her….didn’t get a respond. Worried sick he is making a huge mistake and I have no clue how to tell him because he will take it personal and feel we don’t like her. HELP.
OMG – Outside of your son being in the military – I felt as if it were my son! Same deal pretty much – I feel your pain. I’m in the same boat. I’ve tried telling my son, he is too easily persuaded by this girl. Now she is pregnant and told me not to come there (they live 3 hrs away) for the first month after the baby is born. She is shutting me out and getting my son to do the same. She has taken every ounce of his time and now its all about her and her family. He doesn’t even call anymore.
I have to tell you, he is not going to listen – no matter what you say. He will have to learn the hard way. Just be there for him (it won’t be long – I’m sure) and try to keep your opinions to yourself. Take care and God bless!
