Useful information on tipping a tattoo artist?

my friend is a tattoo artist and says that while tips are nice, that it is enough of a tip when you display his artwork. b/c if you tell people where you got it, and they like your tattoo it’s like your giving them free advertisement.

Your friend’s right.Most tat artists are self-employed and set their own price.They don’t expect tips.Free advertising is enough.
