Do Tattoo Touch Ups Hurt

MY tattoo rejected the ink.?
Andth healing process has been horible, i already talked to the artist and he said that he will have to touch up ect.
But the way my tattoo is scabbing is really ugly, pited looking and like bubbly sorta, like lumpy, its hard like dried skin or scabbing but i dunno what it quite is, this is the 2nd week now and its still hurting but not infected, im worried that it wont heal or the lumpy area wont smooth out, ive been putting lots of a&d and bacitracine too cause the artist said to cause its irritatd from the rejecting ink, and if i dont keep moisterizing it it gets super dried out and cracks and hurts, someome please help
My artist recommended Eucerin aquaphor. It is a lotion for extra dry skin. You only need a light coat to go a long way. My wife on her first tattoo had similar problems with the A&d. It is worth a try. i know my last tattoo healed with out any scabbing or itching using the eucerin aquaphor. It is also nice to have around when my hands get really sore from washing them in the winter so much.
Hope this helps.
Foot tattoo touch up.
