Chinese Writing Tattoo Ideas
Ideas for a tattoo on my side?
I’m thinking about getting a tattoo on the left side of my torso under my arm and still on my rib cage. I don’t want to get any cleche tattoss like the five point stars or spider webs. Also any writing in English would have to be incorperated into an elaborate design. I like tribal a lot. Any ideas would be nice. I’m a tarus and a monkey on the Chinese calender but I’ve never really felt attached to these.
obviously you arent ready to get a tattoo. asking others what to get without even having a slight idea is a sure sign of that.
think it through and just pick something you like. it can be something with deep sentimental meaning to you or just purely aesthetically appealing.
one thing i would advise against is going to a shop and picking some random design out of a book or flash board. you have no clue how many other people have that design and not to mention it is very juvenile and unoriginal.
you should come up with the design yourself. it can be simple or complex, big or small. whatever you want. you shouldnt have to draw anything. a good artist will just listen to your idea, tell you what is reasonable, and draw you your very own custom piece. from there you can tell him/her what you like/dislike about it, tweak it if need be, and get it done.
ill throw out a simple idea for you. pick an animal you like. everyone has an animal they like. ill go with a monkey since you already mentioned it. you could have a “bio-tree” (tree branches/plants that appear to be ripping/growing out of your body) with a monkey swinging from the branches or vines. you could easily incorporate tribal patterns into this design.. although in my opinion tribal is for someone who doesnt know what they want.. or someone in a tribe. dont want an animal? think of a word that has meaning to you. most everyone sees the word love as significant. and many people choose to tattoo it on their body. it could be written in elegant script or bold old english. whatever you like. from there think of something you love. maybe a passion of yours. use that to build a design around that simple four letter word.
use your imagination and you can come up with hundreds of great ideas for tattoos.
