children's names tattoo designs

As most of you already know, I’m a single parent of too many to count. I truly enjoy the challenges of life, mostly with teaching my young adults what is acceptable to society and what is not. Believe me when I say, they don’t want to hear it most of the time.

Several of my kids do not have tattoos. That’s amazing right there. Several of them just got their first. I must say I am disappointed in the placement and size they chose. Yes, it’s fun to show them off, now just try getting a job!

My kids with tattoos have found it hard to get hired because their tattoos show. Yes, even one the wrist is not good now days. One of my sons had to buy a watch just to cover his up while he is at work. Another son may as well buy a new body skin and wear it when summertime comes around again.

I have five of them myself. They are small and only two of them are seen by the public. One is on my ankle and one is off center on my shoulder. This way people don’t stare at my tattoo when they are talking to me.

I have found, at least with my kids, they do it for attention and an artist outlook. We are all artistic in some fashion. The biggest challenge is teaching the discipline in when and where to put them. You are going to carry them around for a very long time. Of course I would rather them get a tattoo then look at a ring through their bottom lip any day.

I can’t stand piercings for some reason. I’m not sure why. Logically speaking they would be better. You can just take them out and the hole closes. Done deal! Every time I see one of my kids with a hoop somewhere in their face, instinct tells me to tie a rope around it and lead them to a corral somewhere.

Always speak freely with your kids though. It’s better to have great communication with them so they won’t do things behind your back. Maybe the parent can have the first say in what and where they put their first tattoo. Some handle the needle very well and some do not.

As for any young adults reading this, beware. You need to take many factors into getting a tattoo. When, where, how big, etc. Don’t get names of boyfriends or girlfriends either. They come and go but the tat stays right where you left it. Talk to your parents too. I’m not saying don’t get one. I’m simply saying to consider certain things before you do.

I’m a work, think, and stress oholic! I think about when all of my children are grown and gone so I can slow down. There is a problem though, my children love being at home so much, they aren’t leaving. As a matter of fact, they keep moving home! I laugh and cry at the same time.

It doesn’t matter how old they are either. Married, single, divorced, grandchildren, etc. They all know that mom will always have the door wide open for them.
