Arm tattoo designs can be found in many different places. You can find them online in tattoo galleries, at paid galleries, and even by looking at flashes at your local tattoo parlor. It can be a long and hard choice to find the perfect arm tattoo design that is just for you, but I want to help you make your decision a little easier.
First off, you I want to suggest that you do not go with a design that just looks cool. Sure, it does need to look good, but make it your own. Find a design that you like really good and do something to it to make it personal and mean something to you. This is a good way to make sure that you will not end up regretting your design choice.
Another suggestion is that you avoid any kind of name tattoo unless it is your name or if it the name of one of your children. There have been countless people that have put the name of their boyfriend, girlfriend, husband, or wife on their arm and they have split up. Then they have to pay someone to do a cover up that they may not even like.
There are many designs that you can choose for your arm. If it is a first tattoo you can start just about anywhere, but I do recommend that you choose something that you can expand on later. One example is the popular tribal tattoo. If you choose to add later it is pretty easy to do so. Even something simple like a cross and be expanded upon to even go as far as a full sleeve.
Another great option for an arm tattoo design is a portrait. Just make sure you find an artist that is well known for portraits and make sure you check out their work. They are hard to do. But again, make sure it is not something you will regret later on. Getting a portrait can be great, but it takes a talented artists to pull it off.
Arm Tattoo Designs – Thousands of Designs
Placement on the arm is pretty important too. The upper arm and shoulder area is by far the most popular. It can easily be hidden with a shirt, and easily shown off as well. If you have a day job it may not be a good idea to be showing a tattoo all of the time. But it is also easy to show it off if you want to.
Another popular location is the forearm. Some of the best tattoos that I have seen have been on the forearm. For some reason I like stars, and I have seen some pretty awesome designs on the arms.
