How to take care of foot tattoos?
I just got a tattoo on the top of my foot that covers almost one side of my foot. Its winter here and I can’t help but wear socks and shoes! Whats the best way to care for it right now and whats the best cream to use???
This is my 5th tattoo but its the first time they didn’t give me anything to use for after care and its the most painful one and lots of artists won’t do feet because of how they may turn out eventually etc.
Ok, Speaking from experience (both of my feet are tattoo’d and the art is huge and detailed) caring for a foot tattoo is very important. First off DO NOT USE PREPERATION H (sorry to put the user who suggested that on blast). Use a product like A&D. This will help most effectively. Make sure you wash the tattoo frequently throughout the day. you dont have to shower or anything but some luke warm water and antibacterial soap will do the trick. Keeping a foot tattoo clean is very important! Avoid shoes if possible! However i understand that it is cold were you are and the remedy for wearing shoes may actually benefit you. WEAR TWO PAIRS OF SOCKS… this will allow the socks to absorb abrassion from your shoes. Hope this helps.
