Beginners Tattoo Kit
Want to purchase a tattoo gun and practice.?
I haven’t used a tattoo gun yet, but I am looking to practice on my own time. I don’t know much about tattoo guns, so I am looking to the Yahoo! community to shoot me some tips on what I should look for when purchasing a tattoo gun or kit.
Where can I get a reliable gun kit for a beginner? I want something reasonably priced. Also, what should all be included when starting this hobby out? I am not expecting you guys to teach me everything–just some basics on what to look for. I am going to be researching this more in the future.
Just a few things:
1. You are calling a tattoo machine a gun. That means that you shouldn’t be tattooing right there.
2. As a beginner, you should look for an artist to do an apprenticeship with instead of just buying a machine on ebay, and practicing on yourself and whatever other victims you can find
3. Tattooing isn’t, and shouldn’t be a hobby. It is more than just the art, You need to have knowledge about bloodborne pathogens and cross-contamination.
4: Just a few questions you should ask yourself:
-How are you going to sterilize your materials?
-Do you even know how to do this?
- Is it legal where you live to tattoo if you’re not in a tattoo shop?
- Do you want to put yourself and your friends in danger just for some cheap ink?
