What is a good age to get your first tattoo?

I am 15, and want to get one (with permission of course) but dont want my skin to stretch where it is. I dont know how much my age will effect the tattoo. (if you are going to try and convince me not to get it please dont respond, I am not going to make an uneducated guess because it looks cool, i am not an idiot)

First of all, many states require you to be 18 before you can get a tattoo, with or without parental permission. Second, a lot of tattoo artists will refuse to tattoo minors because they are still growing and the skin will stretch, and you may regret the tattoo later on. I would wait until after you turn 18, then your body is pretty much done growing.
